About Us

Founded in 2017, Una is an AI EdTech startup based in Hong Kong Science Park, committed to enhancing the quality of education through innovative technology. As a partner with the University of Hong Kong and Microsoft Global Training Partner, we deliver a real-time interactive AI self-learning platform for schools and offer over 300 hours of STEM and AI training courses, having supported more than 400 primary and secondary schools.

Back in 2017, our founder Dr. Leo, a former adjunct assistant professor at The University of Hong Kong, had a challenging time teaching programming in a coding class to 100 students. With inaccessible teaching tools, individual technical problems and incompatible pace of learning, Dr. Leo struggled and sweated his way through the lesson. Inevitably, only a handful of students managed to follow, given the limited class time. The experience inspired and propelled Dr. Leo to establish Una Technologies Limited (formerly known as MagiCube Limited). With the help of his team, Dr. Leo developed a cloud-based real-time interactive education platform, Una, which refers to ‘together’ in Latin. As the name suggests, Dr. Leo wishes to bring teachers and students together into a fun and interactive process of learning. In just over 2 years, Una has become a Microsoft Global Training Partner. The proven popularity of Una is attributed to various user-friendly features, such as interactive virtual classrooms, the integration of several AI technologies, and more.
